STREET HOCKEY

• rollerblades

• rollerblade wheels and bearings if they are worn out

• street hockey net

• street hockey balls - You can never have too many.

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING

• wrist strengtheners - egg-shaped, ball-shaped, or the classic spring type, all good for building up the hands and wrists

• weighted puck - build up wrist and forearm muscles used in hockey

• ankle weights - wear them rollerblading, public skating or jogging to build up legs

• dumbbells - nothing to heavy, 5 lbs.  Use them for repetition, not power lifting, to build up wrist, forearms, biceps

• jump rope - to increase foot speed.  Ask all the boxers and wrestlers who use them if they are only for little girls.

FUN

• NHL Monopoly

• Any EA Sports NHL video game

• tickets to a Div. 1 college hockey game - $5-$12, bands, and players who don't whine about not getting $8 million per season.  BU, BC, Northeastern, Harvard, Brown, Providence are all within 1/2 hour.

• practice "ice" for use on driveway, simulates slippery ice surface for practice with pucks
